Norsodyne H 13212 TAE Polyester Resin
Polynt, a world-class composites manufacturer, produces NORSODYNE® H 13212 TAE. It is an unsaturated polyester resin in styrene, orthophthalic. Manufacturers use it for many general mouldings, particularly in laminating applications. It is mainly used in hand lay-up and spray-up processes.
Formerly referred to as Encore 30, this resin hardens extremely fast and has quick wet-out properties, making it ideal for applications that require a fast turnaround time.
The resin is pre-accelerated and only needs a catalyst to start the curing process. It also emits low levels of styrene.
Often classed by the composites industry as clear, this resin is actually pink in appearance and unpigmented. Once you add the catalyst, the pink changes to brown. This colour change indicates that the Norsodyne H 13212 TAE Polyester Resin is catalysing.
As with many polyester resins, you should ideally bring them to room temperature (at least 15°C) before using.
Allowing the resin to warm to room temperature ensures it flows with ease.
Metox Catalyst is used with the Norsodyne H 13212 TAE. Catalyst addition at 2% will give a pot life of approximately 20 minutes at 20oC.

- Shake to agitate before opening container
- Stir thoroughly before use
- As the resin includes a film-forming agent, it is recommended that the laminate should be rubbed down first before bonding or re-laminating
- Resin should be used within 6 months
- It should be stored in a cool, dry place away from UV exposure
