Industrial Sealants and Adhesives

Tricel Composites and Kisling

Tricel has sourced composite materials for over 60 years, aiming to provide a one stop shop for composite products and supplies. We supply across a range of industries including moulding and construction. We have gained a reputation for supplying materials on time at the right price. We carry an extensive range of resin, reinforcements, catalysts, sealant, adhesives and pigments which are ready for dispatch and next day delivery.

Originally founded in 1862 in Zurich, Kisling AG opened its manufacturing operation in 1998 to produce high-performance adhesives and sealants with solutions to almost every area of industrial production. Kisling AG customer base includes; businesses from the areas of electronics, machinery and plant engineering, pump and valve production, automotive and consumer goods.

Adding to its already popular range of Anaerobic and Cyanoacrylate chemistry, Kisling AG has launched its latest offering of Epoxy and Methacrylate structural adhesives, to the UK and Irish markets.

Kisling AG is proud to announce its collaboration with Tricel Composites. Tricel is the official distribution partner covering the composite manufacturing market sector for the ergo-branded products produced by Kisling AG.

ergo.®  1675

ergo.® 1675 is a non-sagging, two-part methacrylate adhesive designed for structural bonding of thermoplastic, metal, and composite assemblies. Combined at a 10:1 (v :v) ratio, it has a working time of 2 to 4 minutes. The fast strength build up provides short cycle times (~4 min up to 10 N/mm2). The cured adhesive offers a balanced profile of properties with high stiffness combined with a strong toughness.

ergo.® 1675 is mainly used as an universal grade for industrial applications where composites are involved.

Advantages

  • Good adhesion to a wide range of materials
  • Non-dropping paste
  • bridges gaps up to 10 mm
  • Excellent resistance against dynamic loads
  • Resistant against outside conditions and humidity
  • 100% reactive compound
  • Low odor
  • High flashpoint

ergo® 1925

This very low odor and slow curing ergo® – grade was developed to bond metals like aluminum, steel, brass and its alloys as well as ferrite, but also a wide range of plastics (ABS, PVC, PC, PS) and combinations of those materials. The two-component system cures after mixing into a dry, tough and impact resisting polymer film. The best mixture-ratio of 1:1 (volume or weight) is obtainable by using the common double-cartridges with static mixer tube. Due to its insensitiveness to changing mixture ratios, it may be applied also as rope beside rope and mixed by hand

Advantages

  • Very low odor
  • Non-flammable liquid
  • Wide range of mixture ratio
  • Free of solvents
  • Contains 100µm spacer to optimize gap and mechanical properties
  • Good gap-filling behaviour
  • Excellent adhesion
  • Low shrinkage
  • High tensile shear strength
  • Resists against impacts as well as against peeling
  • Resists again paint baking
  • Compatible with spot welding procedure
  • Long fixture time allows adjustment of joined parts, even if big areas are involved

ergo® 4003

ergo® 4003 is a low strength thread locker. It has been developed as a universal product with medium viscosity, suitable for threaded joints which shall be removed later on. Can also be used on smaller threads. It was especially developed for screws with length of 2D.

Advantages

  • Low strength
  • Good thixotropic viscosity
  • Easy disassembly
  • 1 year shelf life
  • Good thermal range

ergo.® 4052

ergo.® 4052 is a medium strength product with excellent resistance against chemicals and temperature. Cures very fast, even on galvanised surfaces and on stainless or high alloyed steel. Certified acc. to DVGW (DIN EN 751-1) and to ANSI/NSF Standard 61 for use in commercial and residential potable water systems not exceeding 82° C. When used as sealant against water, please observe and follow the special handling instructions for pipe-sealants.

Advantages

  • Excellent chemical and temperature resistance
  • Suitable for food processing areas
  • 1 year shelf life
  • Fast curing
  • Good thermal range

ergo.®  5922

ergo.® 5922 is a nearly odourless glue, which shows less blooming or whitening than normal grades recommended wherever visible traces of glue must be avoided. It is colourless, with a yellow tinge. It reaches final strength after 24 hours.

ergo.® 5922 has relatively slow curing, offering greater working time.

Advantages

  • Good adhesion to a wide range of materials
  • Low odor
  • High melting point
  • Single component
  • 1 year shelf life
  • Good thermal range
